 Rosemount 3408 Level Transmitter - Non-Contacting Radar

The Rosemount 3408 Non-Contacting Radar Level Transmitter features Smart Echo Supervision™ technology and is suitable for level measurement and overfill prevention. Smart diagnostics enable proactive maintenance, and optional Bluetooth® available for wired communication ensures easy configuration. Manual or automatic verification at scheduled intervals can be conducted at any time without process interruptions. Perform proof-testing remotely and in-situ with onboard functionality. NAMUR type tested and third party certified to IEC61508 for use in safety critical applications.

Rosemount 3408 is soon coming with WirelessHart communication as an option. Wireless technology enables the automation of previously inaccessible locations while eliminating wiring costs.

2 Corrosive Environments:For applications in corrosive environments, the transmitter offers a process seal antenna with all PTFE wetted parts. PTFE is highly resistant to corrosion, making it an ideal material for use in tanks containing aggressive chemicals.
3 Small Process Fittings:The lens antenna of the Rosemount 3408 is available for very small process fittings. This makes it suitable for applications where space is limited or where the tank has small access points.
4 Open-Air and Non-Pressurized Tanks:For open-air applications and non-pressurized tanks, the atap lens antenna with reduced temperature and pressure rating offers a fit-for-purpose solution.
