Operating Principle

This module operates by taking input from various temperature sensors. When connected to a thermocouple, it measures the electromotive force (EMF) generated due to the temperature difference between the hot and cold junctions of the thermocouple. For a thermal resistance sensor like Pt100, it measures the change in resistance with temperature. The module then processes these raw signals through its internal circuitry. It first performs a series of signal conditioning steps, including filtering out electrical noise, amplifying the weak signals to a suitable level for further processing, and compensating for any non - linearities in the sensor response.

 

Sensor Compatibility

The module also works seamlessly with thermal resistance sensors like Pt100. In applications where precise temperature control is crucial, such as in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes where the temperature needs to be maintained within a very narrow range, the Pt100 sensor, when paired with the 248, 644 module, can provide highly accurate temperature readings. The module can handle a temperature range for Pt100 sensors typically from - 200 °C to 850 °C, and for Cu50 sensors from - 50 °C to 150 °C, with a minimum measurable temperature span of 50 °C.

 

 

Environmental Monitoring

In industrial facilities, the module can be used to monitor the temperature of exhaust gases or wastewater. In a steel mill, it can measure the temperature of the flue gases leaving the furnace.
