Step | Procedure | |
| Site Selection | Choose a location with minimal vibration, away from strong electromagnetic fields. Ensure straight pipe runs (5D upstream, 2D downstream) for accurate measurement. |
| Mounting Orientation | Install the flowmeter in a horizontal, vertical (upward flow), or inclined position. Avoid air bubbles in vertical downward flow. |
| Pipe Alignment | Ensure flanges are parallel and concentric. Use gaskets without internal protrusions. Tighten bolts evenly. |
| Grounding | Connect grounding rings or electrodes to a dedicated earth ground (≤1Ω resistance) to eliminate electrical noise. |
| Wiring | Connect power (100-240V AC or 20-28V DC) and output signals (4-20mA, pulse, HART) per terminal diagram. Use shielded cables for signal lines. |
| Configuration | Set parameters (units, K-factor, damping) via local keypad or HART communicator. Verify empty pipe zero calibration. |
| Commissioning | Gradually fill the pipe, check for leaks, and verify output signals match process conditions. |
| Maintenance | Periodically inspect electrodes, grounding, and calibration. Clean electrodes if buildup occurs. |
