The E+H Deltabar PMD75 is a highly advanced differential pressure transmitter that has been engineered to meet the most demanding requirements of various industries. It is designed to provide accurate and reliable measurement of pressure differences in a wide range of applications involving liquids, vapors, and gases. This transmitter is equipped with a piezoresistive sensor and a welded metallic membrane, which are key components contributing to its high - performance capabilities.

Field of application

The Deltabar PMD75 differential pressure transmitter with piezoresistive sensor and welded metallic membrane is used in all industries for continuous measurement in liquids, vapors and gases. The 3-key operation enables simple and reliable commissioning and operation. The integrated HistoROM data module allows easy management of process and device parameters. Designed according to IEC 61508 for use in SIL2/3 safety applications.

For level, volume or mass measurement in liquids, differential pressure monitoring as well as flow measurement (volume or mass flow) in conjunction with primary elements in gases, vapors and liquids.

Measuring Range

The piezoresistive sensor within the Deltabar PMD75 is the heart of its operation. When a differential pressure is applied across the sensor, it causes a mechanical deformation. This deformation leads to a change in the electrical resistance of the piezoresistive elements within the sensor.

The welded metallic membrane plays a crucial role in the operation of the Deltabar PMD75. It serves as a barrier that separates the process media from the internal components of the transmitter. At the same time, it is highly sensitive to pressure differences. 

The Deltabar PMD75 offers an impressively wide measuring range. It can accurately measure differential pressures from as low as 0.25 mbar up to 40 bar.
