The FTL31 operates on a resonance frequency shift principle, where its tuning fork probe vibrates at a defined frequency. When the fork is covered by the target medium, the vibration frequency changes, triggering a switch output. This non-contact method eliminates mechanical wear and ensures consistent performance, even in viscous, corrosive, or abrasive media. The sensor detects liquids with a minimum density of 0.7 g/cm³ (e.g., water, oils) and solids as low as 0.2 g/cm³ (e.g., powders, granules), making it ideal for challenging processes like adhesive monitoring, sludge detection, or grain silo level control. With a fast response time of ≤ 0.5 seconds (in fast mode) and adjustable delay settings up to 10 seconds, the FTL31 minimizes false triggers while ensuring rapid intervention for critical thresholds.
