1. Technical Specifications

1.1 Measuring Range
The COS41 offers a wide and flexible measuring range for dissolved oxygen. It can accurately measure dissolved oxygen concentrations from 0 to 20 mg/L, which covers the typical range of dissolved oxygen levels found in most industrial processes. This includes applications such as water treatment, where the dissolved oxygen level in raw water may vary from a few mg/L to around 10 mg/L, and in some biological processes, where higher dissolved oxygen concentrations may be required. For example, in an aquaculture system, maintaining the dissolved oxygen level between 5 - 8 mg/L is crucial for the health and growth of fish. The COS41 can precisely monitor these levels, ensuring optimal conditions for the aquatic organisms. In a wastewater treatment plant's aeration tank, the dissolved oxygen concentration needs to be carefully controlled between 1 - 4 mg/L for efficient biological treatment. 
1.2 Process Temperature
This sensor is engineered to operate within a significant process temperature range. It can handle process temperatures from - 5 °C to + 50 °C (23 °F to 122 °F). In a brewery, for instance, during the fermentation process, the temperature of the wort can range from around 15 °C to 30 °C. 2.1  Analog Output
The COS41, when paired with a compatible transmitter (such as the Liquiline M CM42), is equipped with a standard 4 - 20 mA analog output. This analog output is a widely used interface in industrial applications, allowing the sensor - transmitter combination to communicate the measured dissolved oxygen value to other devices in the control system, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCSs), or recorders. The 4 - 20 mA signal is proportional to the measured dissolved oxygen concentration, with 4 mA corresponding to the lower end of the measurement range (usually 0 mg/L) and 20 mA corresponding to the upper end (20 mg/L in the case of the COS41).
