Working Principle
Operating on the vibronic measuring principle, the Soliphant FTM51 features a tuning fork that is set into vibration at its natural frequency. In an unobstructed state, such as when surrounded by air or gas, the fork vibrates freely. However, when solid particles, like fine - grained powders, come into contact with the fork, the vibration frequency is altered due to the added mass and damping effect of the solids. The sensor electronics are highly sensitive to this change in frequency. Once the frequency deviation reaches a pre - determined threshold, it triggers an output signal. This signal indicates that the solid material has reached the level of the tuning fork, providing an accurate point level detection.

Soliphant FTM51 is a robust point level switch for use in silos containing fine-grained or powdery solids even with a low bulk density. Suitable for a wide range of applications with international certificates for use in dust or gas hazardous areas. Available with polished fork and stainless steel housing with Tri-Clamp or with aluminum housing and coated fork. Maintenance-free device for use in typical applications like: cereals, flour, cocoa, sugar, animal feed, dye powder, chalk.
