The FIELDVUE DVC6200 digital valve controller is a HART_ communicating instrument that converts a two‐wire 4‐20 mA control signal into a pneumatic output to an actuator. It can easily be retrofitted in place of existing analog positioners on most FISHER and non‐FISHER pneumatic actuators.

FISHER FIELDVUE™ DVC6200 digital valve controllers are HART® communicating, microprocessor-based current-to-pneumatic instruments with linkage-less, non-contact travel feedback.
Three important functions are performed by the DVC6200 instrument:
Traditional positioning of a control valve by converting the 4-20mA DC input signal from the process controller to a pneumatic output signal to the actuator.
Automatic calibration and configuration utilizing the power of microprocessor technology.
Communication capability via the HART communications protocol to provide instrument and valve diagnostic information.
This instrument provides one platform for any pneumatic actuator application.
The DVC6200 can be installed on sliding-stem, rotary, single- or double-acting actuatorsSpecification:DVC6200 digital valve controller or DVC6215feedback unit:
Integral mounting to FISHER 657/667 or GX actuators
Window mounting to FISHER rotary actuators
Sliding-stem linear applications
Quarter-turn rotary applications
DVC6205 base unit:
for 2 inch pipe stand or wall mounting (for remote-mount)
The DVC6200 digital valve controller or DVC6215feedback unit can also be mounted on other actuators that comply with IEC 60534-6-1, IEC60534-6-2, VDI/VDE 3845 and NAMUR mounting standards.

DVC6200 digital valve controllers (figures 1‐1 and 1‐2) are communicating, microprocessor‐based current‐to‐pneumatic instruments. In addition to the normal function of converting an input current signal to a pneumatic output pressure, the DVC6200 digital valve controller, using the HART communications protocol, gives easy access to information critical to process operation. You can gain information from the principal component of the process, the control valve itself, using the Field Communicator at the valve, or at a field junction box, or by using a personal computer or operator's console within the control room. Using a personal computer and ValveLink software or AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager, or a Field Communicator, you can perform several operations with the DVC6200 digital valve controller. You can obtain general information concerning software revision level, messages, tag, descriptor, and date.
